Granola Bars

This is one of the easiest things to whip together. There is very little time involved. There is no baking or stovetop cooking. And they are so amazingly delicious that a 9×13 pan disappears in this house of 2 adults 4 kids within a week.  IT MAKES ME PROUD TO SAY TO THE WORLD THAT I CAME UP WITH THIS RECIPE ON MY OWN. There is a certain amount of self-confidence that you gain when you come up with something good entirely on your own. It doesn’t have to be food. It may be anything. Create. It will do you and the world around you some good.

The fun with these bars is that you can shift things around if you like. Cheerios instead of rice krispies. Extra chocolate chips instead of raisins. For gluten free, extra oats instead of wheat germ.

I love to cut, individually wrap and freeze them. A perfect on the go snack grab.

  • 3  3/4 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Wheat Germ
  • 2 cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Almonds
  • 1 cup Peanuts
  • 1  1/2 cup Rice Krispies
  • 1/2 cup Sunflower Seeds
  • 3/4 cup Honey
  • 1 T Vanilla
  • 1 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 cup Table Syrup (maple syrup)

Melt oil then add other wet ingredients. Stir to combine. Pour over dry ingredients. Mix well with hands. Press into 9×13 cake pan or your choice container. Keep Refrigerated. This is not a must but will keep your bars more solid and less crumbly because of the coconut oil.
